Carlos Paz
Carlos Paz oversees Darling Ingredients’ renewables, global risk management activities, and North American specialties, guiding the company’s strategic positioning in low-carbon fuels, commodity markets, and specialty service businesses. His leadership supports the performance of the Diamond Green Diesel joint venture, international commercial activity and the company’s management of market and price-related risks across global ingredient streams.
Carlos joined the company in 2025 as Executive Vice President – Global Risk Management, Ingredients, bringing more than two decades of experience in trading, merchandising and global market strategy. He was appointed to his current role in 2026, expanding his responsibilities to include renewables growth, North American specialties and the company’s bakery and restaurant services businesses. He also serves on the board of Diamond Green Diesel.
Earlier in his career, Carlos served as President and CEO of Ceres Global Inc. and spent several years as a portfolio manager at Freepoint Commodities. He also held a series of trading and executive leadership roles across North America, Latin America and Europe at Cargill Inc., gaining deep expertise in global commodity markets and risk management.
Carlos earned a bachelor’s degree in general business management and agricultural economics from Kansas State University.
