Prior to that role, he spent nearly two decades as a member — and later Chairman — of the company’s Advisory Board, gaining deep insight into the food and petfood industries and contributing to the organization’s long‑term strategic direction.

Kurt also served as Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Executive Board of SARIA Group, a global company headquartered in Germany that converts animal by‑products into sustainable ingredients for food, feed, petfood, pharmaceuticals and energy. Under his leadership, SARIA strengthened its position as a leader in sustainable solutions, emphasizing responsible resource utilization and the development of innovative, high‑value ingredients.

Before becoming CEO, Kurt served as SARIA Group’s Chief Financial Officer and Managing Director with responsibility for the company’s Spanish operations and biodiesel division. He also served as President of the German Biodiesel Association, reflecting his commitment to advancing sustainable energy and renewable fuel solutions. Earlier in his career, Kurt served in a variety of management positions at Oetker Group, including as Chief Financial Officer for two brewery operations. His work in fiscal management and food‑industry operations gave him a solid foundation in global supply chains and consumer products.
