Naturally target post-meal glucose spikes by boosting GLP-1 secretion

High variability in blood glucose levels can lead to a “sugar crash,” which includes food cravings, hunger and overeating.1,2,3,4 The hormone glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) helps balance glucose levels by triggering insulin release.5

To target GLP-1, Rousselot developed specialty collagen peptides in Nextida GC. Supplementation reduced post-meal glucose spikes by 42% on average in a placebo-controlled clinical study of 16 healthy individuals. At 10 grams, Nextida GC yielded a statistically significant GLP-1 increase in a healthy population when taken 30 minutes before a meal.6,7 The prediabetic subgroup also yielded statistically significant results at both 5 and 10 grams, showing promise for lower dosage levels in individuals with imbalanced glucose metabolism.
